Trees are Safety for the Monkey

The monkey is trying to show a special expression by showing his 2 certain fingers.

You may have been to the zoo and have seen that most of the monkeys that are there in the monkey cage do not spend a lot of time on the ground. There are a lot of reasons why monkeys tend to hang out in trees. One of the main reasons is because it keeps them safe from predators. Most of the predators that monkeys have will not climb trees in order to get their meal. In addition, monkeys are very adept at swinging from one tree to the next, so they can quickly escape danger when they are in trees as opposed to being on the ground.

Monkey and Gorilla Differences in Movement

Monkey: Don't Disturb, Boss is Thinking Now.

The monkey and the gorilla seem to have a lot of aspects in common; however, they do have their differences. For example, you will find that gorillas tend to walk on their knuckles while monkeys do not. If you did not know why gorillas walk on their knuckles, it is because it keeps their hands from having to hold all of the weight of their bodies. In most cases, monkeys typically travel by swinging from tree to tree. They can walk, but they tend to not walk on their knuckles like gorillas do. For the most part, they use their hands and feet when they move across the ground.

The Monkey and the Primate Family

The monkey and the gorilla are both a part of a family called primates. If you do not know what primates are, there are many ways that you can distinguish them from the other families. For example, primates have hands and hand-like feet. They also have eyes that are placed on the front of their heads. People can be considered to be primates; however, they do not spend most of their time in trees much like monkeys and gorillas do. Lemurs are also included in this family, and they are very good at climbing trees. There are a lot of different primates in the world.
